For me it started with psychedelics, in which I only participated in a few times, but the feeling of connectedness that you receive from that experience is otherworldly. I knew that wasn’t sustainable nor did I want to be in that state long-term. So I did research and found out that meditation would allow me to receive similar sensations.
I kind of became obsessed with reaching that certain ‘high,’ in which I know now to be, samadhi. Actual experience of the divine. Pure bliss.
It’s truly breathtaking + life-changing when you begin and remain consistent with your meditation practice. I have never been so present, peaceful, content, compassionate, or any other feeling, than when I am in a meditative state.
Just the other day I did Sarah Blondins meditation on presence and from the depths, tears streamed out because I felt a gigantic rush of gratitude + grace for my journey.
And then, I found asana, the movement aspect of yoga. In which, I don’t love as completely as I do meditation, but it’s all apart of the process.
So tell me, when did you first peak your beautiful soul into this realm of reality?
