For all, who think we are superior and better than animals; here is a bundle of facts to know!
What would humans/men do to impress a female/girl?
Dress up nicely, gel up the hair, use the best of the perfume, buy the most expensive gift and be a perfect gentleman on a date!
Is it finished yet?
Nope! The man has to stand out of the crowd to be someone special. How else would he impress his date?
Do the animals do it better?
The answer is yes! They try their best to impress the females. They show off, they sing, they dance, fight for females with other males, gift them with natural things - could be flowers or fruits/prey etc.
Here is a fine example of a spotted deer!
The antlers play an important role in a male deer’s life. He has to grow it over a year’s time; to show off during his courtship ritual, fight for his right for a female and defend himself from other males!
He grows it, peels off the velvet and sharpens it to make it look beautiful. He also gets into fights with other competent males in order to attract the females. During the start of the mating season, the males get busy rutting loudly to grab attention and show dominance against other competing males.
On the finish of the mating season, the deer breaks off his antlers. It does cause pain; just like a nail chipped off your fingers. He just cannot have the same antlers to impress the females the next year. Does he? He has to grow a new pair for the next mating season.
Once again next year; he has a big responsibility to take up! A new pair of antlers, new fights and new females to mate with!
Aren’t we just trying to prove that we are better?
If I get it right; we are still no match to the wonders these beautiful creatures do!
